The Fratellini Academy, located in Saint-Denis, France (near Paris), is training professional circus artists for 47 years. While coming to this atypical place, we had the chance to record the gestures, the efforts, the rehearsals of those dedicated artists.
Outside the ring is a mini experimental documentary, which choose to show the creation process behind a circus show, from the physical training to the rehearsals, until the final performance.

L’Académie Fratellini, située à Saint-Denis (banlieue parisienne), forme des artistes de cirque depuis 47 ans. En faisant entrer nos caméras dans ce lieu atypique, nous avons eu la chance de capturer les gestes, les efforts, les répétitions de ces artistes acharnés.
Hors Piste, mini documentaire expérimental, propose de montrer le processus de création d’un spectacle, de l’entraînement aux répétitions, jusqu’à la performance finale.
